My Payment not arriving.. Why?

Hello everyone,

 

I have a question to which I cannot find a concrete reply.

 

Today, I have made a payment in order to buy a game account on a certain website -  which is reliable.

The payment is clearly marked as -€xxx euro on my account.

 

However, I received a mail from the receiver (automatic mail) stating the following :

 

"We have received a notification from PayPal that the payment for this order is currently being reviewed by PayPal, which typically takes up to 72 hours for clearance. Once the payment has cleared, we will proceed with your order accordingly and notify you via email.

If you would like to cancel the payment for this order, please contact PayPal as we do not have the payment refund/cancellation option.

Thank you for your patience."

 

Is this legit, if so, why? Any way to advance the 72h?

I understand you're concerned about transaction reviews, and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If you'd like to learn about the different statuses for PayPal payments, I recommend checking out our Help Center through this link. Transaction reviews are common and do not mean anything is wrong. Regrettably, they cannot be sped up, though. 

I hope I was able to provide some clarification on transaction reviews!
