Missing Pending Payment

I have a payment that shows received and paid to PayPal balance, but the funds are not in my balance. The seller is showing that it is pending on their side. There are no options to cancel it on either of our ends. Where did this money go or is PayPay still holding on to it?

Where does it show as received if its not in your balance?

Is it in your paypal activity?

Does it show as pending on your paypal account with a clearance date?

Does it say pending/unclaimed on the senders side?

May be an echeque, an echeque is funded via the senders bank account and takes 5-7 days to clear.

There are times when its you and the seller / recipient that take the wait for the echeque to clear and here are some of the reasons...

1. Senders back up card has expired or needs updating so paypal are not crediting the bank transfer payment in advance as they normally do.
2.  The sender has had a recent negative balance or failed bank transfer.
3. For some high cost riskier payments / transactions.
4. Friends / family payments *funded from a bank account* as this option is free then its you that takes the wait this time.
5. Clearing a negative balance.

If you are SURE its not a scam and that screen shot is from your account and not an email then wait until echeque clearance and the funds are in your balance.
