I've transferred money to a family member's expired card. How do I get it back so that I can transfer it to a valid card? They can't access the wallet.  I am in the UK and my brother, the recipient is in New Zealand.  I cant get past the chat bot on the Paypal website and the number is not valid.  Not sure how to get help for this.

What does it say on the transaction in your paypal account?

How did you fund the paypal payment?

How did you send the funds ie which paypal option did you select?

Thanks for responding.  It just says "Money Sent".  I sent it on 23rd August.  It was funded from my bank debit card.  I selected a recent recipient to pay as I had last transferred money back in December to him for his children at Christmas.

Check the email address you sent the funds to and make sure it was the correct one linked to his paypal account.

Paypal payments go to balance not cards and if your payment is marked as SENT then it has successfully transferred to the email address you sent it to that is linked to an open paypal account.

Why can't he access his paypal account?
