I have someone send me a money but still did not reflecting to my PayPal account, and I did not receive any email that I receive also but I can provide a transaction id.
Paypal payments are more or less instant as long as sent to the correct email address and in the currency that person can accept so check both with your sender.
Secondly if you have not had a paypal email and nothing in your paypal account activity then are you sure its not a scam?
