Fee for receiving money

Hi, received money sent from family member in Spain, to UK (€ to £ ) Charged £67 for receiving £1609.91 Transaction doesn't state what the fee is for. Seems high as no goods involved. Conversion fee? Thanks in advance.

Just four out, they had to send as purchase as wouldn't let them select gift. Does Spain have friends and family option? I take it there's no way of returning without losing fee amount and retrying?

Spain certainly does have the friends/family option and can easily send you a gift payment.

Thanks. Oh dear. If I refunded, would the fee also be refunded/discounted? I'd rather try again or get a bank transfer arranged than lose nearly 70 quid.

Sadly no a fee is not refunded as part of any refund made.
