FNB's paypal withdrawal menu has vanished - does anyone know how to get it back?

When I log onto my bank to withdraw my PayPal funds into my usual bank account, the withdrawal menu is suddenly missing. The bank seems to not understand what I am saying despite me sending screenshots and querying for a week already. Can anyone please assist? Is this a bank website issue or is there something changed that somehow disallows me the option all of a sudden? My card is verified and the same card I have always withdrawn into.

Hello @Temp20231128z

Welcome back to the PayPal Community!

I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to withdraw money from PayPal to FNB because the menu is missing on FNB. I'm not familiar with FNB's website, but I have a couple of troubleshooting steps that might help. First, ensure all software/apps are up to date. Next, check your internet connection and make sure it's strong. Restarting your device or internet router can help. After that, clear your cache and cookies on your favorite web browser. If that doesn't work, try switching to another device.

I hope these troubleshooting steps help you withdraw!

I'm also having the same issue. The PayPal transaction menu in the FNB banking app just shows "there are no additional options for PayPal Services". It is an online service, so it can't be an internet or local system issue.

This happened after FNB forced a login to Paypal to accept new terms and conditions (to access PayPal information). I'm guessing that they're trying to show more helpful information in the FNB app, but in doing so they have 'broken' the transaction menu.

The upshot is that I can't access the balance in my PayPal account.

It is summer holidays in South Africa at the moment, so presumably will have to wait until 2024.

I am experiencing the exact problem too. I have gone to branches and they tell me to contact paypal even though the issue is with the online banking platform!

I am having the exact same problem. I went to fnb and opened and account specifically to get my money out of PayPal, and when I linked my PayPal and followed the steps it told me in the “how to“ guide it kept telling me to press the withdraw button but there is no such thing in my app. The only buttons I have is a how to use PayPal and my balance. This is clearly not just a problem with internet or some we can troubleshoot ourselves. It is utterly ridiculous, what if peoples only source of income comes from PayPal, are they supposed to just go without money for an indefinite amount of time ?? I am furious. If anyone has found a solution please help me.

Hey Everyone

I hope you all are good

I've had a similar problem where the withdrawal option wasn't available on both the fnb app and online banking profil. After 3 hours of searching and sending emails with no response i decided to maintain my account and used a different bank from the fnb (nedbank) and now i can withdraw. i'm not sure if this will be a fix for everyone experiencing this problem but it is worth a try

kind regards
