Seller telling me that to refund postage they need paypal account details, what would they look like please I dont know.
As to why well return postage cost more than item purchased and Ebay do not allow refunds for postage if postage cost more than item cost.

Hello @OldMB and @Kernowlas,
Thank you both for posting in the Community and welcome, @OldMB!
I understand you'd like to learn more about how to receive money through PayPal so a seller can send you a refund. When someone processes a refund, we recommend they refund it through their original transaction following these steps. If they can't, then as @kernowlass mentioned, you can receive payments through your confirmed PayPal email address. Your email address would be the same personal email that you use to log into your PayPal account. Here's a Help Center article for more information on receiving payments.
I hope this information helps and you receive the refund soon!

All they need is your paypal email address and they can send the refund to you using the friends/family option.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
