Ebay Pending Transaction on Declined Offer

Hey All,

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I made an offer on an Ebay item today, the offer was auto-declined.

I made a second offer that was accepted. Both offers showed up pending, accepted offer has shown up completed, but declined offer is still showing up as "pending".

Why is it even there at all?

This is the first time I've seen this happen on a declined offer. Only reason I'm asking, I don't want to forget about the first one and be double billed.

THX

PS. I used the search function first;)

Pending on Pay Pal.

The accepted offer has cleared both PP and Ebay.

The declined offer is NOT showing on Ebay, but IS showing on PP (as pending).

When you pay it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company/ seller processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order (which they won't as this is a spare payment/authorisation) and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source.

Thanks!

That's what I thought...This was the first time I had seen it.

So PP holds the money (earning interest prb) for 30 days on "an offer".

If someone had made the max of 4 offers on one item and it was declined every time, they would not have access to that money for a month...

*Note to self: don't make offers on Ebay items.*

Thanks again!
