Double charge for all transactions

Two of my most recent transactions had an issue where double the amount was taken from my account. The overpayment returned to my card after approximately 10 minutes after each transaction but it seems that I cannot pay for anything if I don’t have twice the amount needed on my account - every single time I tried to pay without having extra balance I would get a message that the funds are insufficient. Is this some kind of bug that is being worked on? I use a Revolut card for my PayPal transactions and never had an issue like this. I already talked with Revolut’s support team and they couldn’t find the problem to be on their side and advised me to ask PayPal. This never happened to me before and I’m worried that all of my on-line shopping will look like this now. Anyone else experienced a similar problem?
