Currency exchange, Identity Verification, Did not void

My fiancé tried to cash a check through the pay pal app, it didn't tell him the check was approved or that it went through or to even write void on the front of the check, it just told him to wait 5+ days for them to verify his identity. Can he still cash the non-voided check at a currency exchange if it didn't go through right away or at all on the pay pal app?

I might recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams to see if they can help with the identity verification since that seems like the only thing holding up the check deposit. If they cannot complete that verification, I'd ask if there's anything else holding up that deposit or if it will go through automatically after your identity is verified.
