Check verification status and more

Hello everyone,
Not sure if I typed in the right place (sorry if there's a mistake) but let's move on.
I have been using PayPal for years okay (mainly the personal balance), and sometimes adding my card to pay on websites that had something broken, and you can't use your PayPal balance to pay. Before 1-2 days I added my card again to withdraw funds and also again received money on PayPal as well. I got a message that I need to verify (never done it before, and my PayPal was working fine), but now it says I won't be able to transfer, withdraw, etc. (I had an error when I tried to access the withdraw options again for the test) I filled in the information, and now I am trying to figure out how to check my verification progress/status. Also, I do not like my card being "Online" and "Linked" everywhere unless necessary. That's why I have another question: can I remove my card, or is it needed to get verified? Do I need to keep it and do the card link confirmation as well? Will the funds from the transfer fail if I do not confirm my card and just have it attached or completely remove it?
Maybe my questions are dumb, but I have no clue about all of these things and everything looks complicated and a bit risky. Also, what are the chances of "loosing my funds" on the road to my bank card? I used direct transfer 1% fee, instantly, debit card only, or something like this (first from the two options).
Thanks for help in advance,
Veselin

You need to add a card or bank account to act as a back up funding source and to verify your account.

If you keep removing it then at some point soon you won't be able to add it anymore as there is a limit to the amount of times you can add the same card or bank account.

Once removed your account would show as 'unverified' and you may find you can't use it on some sites and some merchants may not sell to you.
