Charged for the whole payment and Pay In 3 When Buying On Ebay

I tried to buy an item on Ebay, Paypal suggested "Pay In 3"

I agreed and clicked it. Then it said "Pay in 3 not avaiable for this transaction." or something to that extent and redirected back to the basket payment screen.

So I paid normally in one go. 

Then found out the Pay in 3 Payment went through and I was charged by Paypal.

I tried to raise it in the resolution center and it says "We're sorry, you can't file a case on this type of transaction."

Not sure how to proceed.

I recommend you to login to your PayPal account and check the status of the transaction. If it shows 'Pending' the charges wouldn't have been deducted from the funding source, also you can get in touch with the merchant to get it cancelled. Click here for more information about PayPal Pay in 3.
