Changing country

Hi,

I moved out of Australia few years ago with over 1000 AUD$ on my Paypal account.

I now want to transfer my funds from my Australian Paypal account to my French Paypal account !

I'm calling the resolution center at least once a week for over a 4 month without solution.

Is Paypal trying to steal my money? Did anyone experience this?

What should I do? I'm getting lost...

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

Indeed I didn't close my Paypal account when I moved out of Australia.

Yes I have problems and it's a nightmare. I feel like Paypal can't (or don't want?) to handle such cases.

I opened a ticket in the resolution center for over 2 month and it's till "waiting for approval" since it's excalated.

BTW I called this morning and it still "waiting for approval" by the management team
