Cancelling a order after transfer funds have been declined

I recently ordered something and paid using PayPal but my bank account declined the fund transfer because I didn’t have sufficient funds. I want to cancel the order but I do not know how. PayPal says that the payment has already been completed but no money was withdrawn from my acc and none was paid to the vendor. Does anyone know how to cancel the orde?

Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay.

Takes 5-7 working days to transfer as Paypal use the slowest (cheapest) transfer option BUT funds normally leave your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later.
If the transfer fails they may try again or put your account into negative or try your back up card.
