So I was looking at a product and was checking what the shipping was going to be. I never authorized the transaction but I now see that the transaction shows that they charged me. I have notified the company and PayPal to immediately cancel, which I did within minutes but no retraction of the transaction
Since you did not complete checkout, the Pending authorization initiated to validate your funding source is simply a hold, it will eventually expire on it’s own and disappear as if it never happened. This is standard payment processing practice. If the authorization doesn’t disappear after 30 days, you may contact your bank, card issuer, or PayPal (if the authorization appears in PayPal) to have it voided.
