Can't use my paypal balance

To be able to receive funds from freelancer.com I had to enable automatic funds transfer. Now I want to transfer some of my money in my PayPal balance to a friend, but I only have the option to pay from my debit card not my PayPal balance. My debit card is set as the default payment method, and I can't find an option to change that. I'm guessing this is a restriction because I live in Egypt but is there any way I can get this fixed?

You can't use a balance as a funding source in your country unfortunately.
