Can’t access goods & services payment?

Someone recently paid me a deposit for some items they wish to come and collect from me and paid through goods and services. Naturally, I received notification of the payment, and that I have paid the transaction fee. However, I do not seem to be able to access the money that was sent. It is still sitting as a green + payment, and the only options were for me to send with or without a tracking label. We both stood together and I clicked send as it seem to be the only option for me to move forward even though he was already collecting the items. He received a email there and then with a notification that the goods have been “sent” and that tracking label was not required. However, none of us have received anything since and I still don’t have access to these funds? Could anyone explain , why this is and what I am doing wrong. Many thanks.

Firstly best not to use paypal for items that are collected, you would have no paypal seller protection.

Buyer could take the item and then file for 'non receipt of that item' and as you would not be able to provide trackable proof of delivery the buyer would be refunded. Bank transfer or cash on collection only personally I find best.
