There is a piece of Software I want from a USA distributor. I use the GBP currency, Can I use paypal to pay for this software and avoid bank conversion charges?

I expect the seller would require payment in USD so you pay in USD and before you click to pay it tells you how much will be deducted from your funding source in GBP with any currency conversion charges included.
Advice is voluntary.
