A payment I made to a company was duplicated and sent twice by accident. Both payments are currently preauthorized and I was hoping to cancel one of them before they go through but I can't see a way to do it. Is there way to cancel a preauthorized payment or do I have to wait until it is payed before I can dispute it. Thanks for any help you can provide.
When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment. However sometimes that company can void the pending charge so it falls off earlier if you cancel the second order?
