Automatic Payments; Why So Complicated?

I just made a purchase using PayPal on HDTracks.  It stated my purchase was completed, but I saw no way to enter or choose a credit card at all.  Apparently, this was handled as an automatic payment even though I never set this up for HDTracks.  I am logged into PayPal on my computer right now, and I see absolutely no way to see or configure any automatic payments.  I have at least two or three automatic payments currently setup, but PayPal is hiding this on the paypal.com account website.  Payments is absolutely nowhere to be found on the website.  I clicked every single option and menu item I can find.

Why is this hidden?

Okay -- I found it finally.  It is practically hidden on the website.

To anyone else who wants to find this:

  • click the Gear at the upper right of the header to the left of LOG OUT
  • ACCOUNT will be selected on the new menu at the top; click PAYMENTS on this menu
  • At the top click MANAGE automatic payments button that is round

This thread was moved to transactions when it does not belong there at all.

This post is questioning the poorly designed PayPal website that is difficult for an end user to use. It belongs where I started it in Managing Account.
