Add money to wallet after placing order

After authorising a webshop purchase for bank withdrawal, I added money to my wallet. Does paypal primarily use the money from my wallet for already placed orders? For example I placed an order for € 1035,- with only a few cents in my wallet, I authorise paypal for a withdrawal of € 1034,50 from my bank account upon shipment. If I now add € 1000 to my wallet before shipment, will paypal use this money and withdraw only € 34,50 from my bank account?

Hello @Bloemen

Welcome and thanks for posting your question in the PayPal Help Community!

I am happy to help you with your inquiry here! If you're sending a payment using PayPal, we'll always use any available money in your PayPal balance to fund the payment. If you don't have enough money in your balance, PayPal will try to take the money from your backup funding source like your linked bank account/card. Payment method cannot be changed after placing the order.

Hope this information helps,

Bindu
