Account of friend locked because I made charity payments

Hello, I have a friend who wanted to do their own long bike ride and to raise some money for charity from friends. I said I would sponsor her. I was going to give cash but in the end decided to make two PayPal transfers to her so she could give the money to her charity of Choice. I put in the description of both something like “ charity donation “ so she would know what it was for. Apparently PayPal have now locked the account and said she cannot get at any of the money in it for at least 180 days. Is there anything that can be done? It was my mistake not knowing I couldn’t do this and yet she has had to suffer the consequences. Thanks for any advice.

3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
