Etsy payment Error when paying through PayPal

Been using PayPal to make purchases on Etsy for a good while now and this is the first time I've encountered this issue when making payment on Etsy as well as some other sites such as ASOS.

"Oh dear. PayPal couldn't process your payment. Please choose a different payment method on PayPal."

The card linked to the account I've got works impeccably on other sites and payment portals, but the payment doesn't get processed whenever I use PayPal as the payment method.

Anyone know how to tackle this issue?

Would honestly appreciate any help.

It sounds like we weren't able to get authorization to complete the payment from your card provider. This could be down to many reasons. Please check the information in the following link to ensure everything is up to date: https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/article/faq3039.
