I received an email today, through an old account, informing me that my payment of $39 to Skype was successful. I was alarmed at first since the email went into my junk folder, never mind that it was sent to an old account. And then I was concerned since I don't use Skype, never have, and I thought Skype was free? I went to the official paypal website and tried signing in but, of course, I couldn't. I disabled the email address a long time ago. So for kicks, I clicked on the link in the email I received and none of the links on the page worked except the login button. Fishy fishy.... I researched paypal scams and saw that paypal will never address me as paypal member or user. Am I correct?

Hi MelRobMac
You are absolutely correct Paypal always address you by your full name.
The scam links are for you to log on to your account and before you know it they will have withdrawn or added money to the account change the name, password etc.
