Why am I only allowed to create one security device for 2 factor authentication?

I want to utilize TWO Yubikeys so that I have a backup incase one is lost/stolen/breaks/etc. This is a VERY standard practice when using physical security devices like Yubikeys and as far as I've found, PayPal is the only service I'm using at the moment that hasn't allowed me to pair a a second YubiKey with my login for 2 factor authentication means.
Am I missing something? Is there in fact a way to utilize a second key? I click on "add new device" just like before, but now I'm only presented the option of adding a phone number for SMS verification instead of the ability to pair a second physical security device...

Just updating my own security and came across this problem. How is this still a thing in 2024!?

This is ridiculous. Only one sec key and and cannot turn other methods off (b/c not all environments support sec key). So you cannot really get the level of security offered by sec keys (nor should you, since if you break/lose yours, you're out). The PayPal sec key implementation is a useless gimmick at the moment, no reason to bother with it. Better use TOTP (and perhaps store the TOTP secret in a sec key in conjunction with specialized authenticator app, instead of Google/MS Authenticator).

This is beyond ridiculous. It's 2024 and Paypal has not done ANYTHING to fix this, after YEARS.

There still isn't an option to add a second security key, it seems Paypal is too incompetent to add this simple thing.

Ooof. Same problem here. Paypal is the only site that doesn't let me set up a backup key.

Looks like it is still not possible to register more than one Yubikey. I will delete my account if this is not prioritised soon.
