Request to Enable Receiving Payments in Sri Lanka

Currently, while we can make payments through PayPal, the inability to accept payments is a significant limitation for businesses and freelancers in Sri Lanka.

You have a Philippines registered paypal account, be careful if you are using that countries paypal account to try and bypass the ban in your country as at some point your account would be limited.

Paypal varies a lot country to country and can only offer the services that the banks / governments of that country allow it to offer.
There are quite a few countries unable to receive Paypal payments.

Our government has recently changed, and I have contacted them regarding this issue. They have indicated that they are open to discussing the possibility of enabling services like PayPal to allow users in Sri Lanka to receive payments. Given this change, there is a chance that PayPal could now be approved to offer this essential feature.

I believe this would be a huge benefit to many businesses and freelancers in Sri Lanka, helping us to participate more fully in the global economy. I kindly request that PayPal revisit this with our new government.

Yes, please enable payapal users in Sri Lanka to receive money from overseas. There's a thriving freelance community here and we have clients all around the world who'd want our services but hesitate and decline because thw payment method is too complicated. Clients and well freelnacing organisation opt for paypal but as we Sri Lankans cant recive money it limits us in every aspect. Please look into this asap
