Money Lock Feature?

Something that I think would be a great feature to implement is a per-user chosen money lock feature. Basically, they choose to lock in a certain amount of money for a certain amount of time. Maybe for a couple of days, maybe for a couple of months, and they cannot use that money no matter what. Even if they're trying to buy something and their account otherwise wouldn't have enough money to buy it, they could not use the money and if they didn't have enough in their PayPal account outside of the money reserve to pay for something the transaction would be outright denied.
Now while from some angles it can seem like a "PayPal is withholding my money from me" it's a user responsibility and would be especially great for people who spend money as soon as they get it/find something to spend it on.
What do you think?

Personally I think exercising a tad of will power would be more effective.
