As an Expat living in Germany, I just called customer service for an issue that is time sensitive. After having to deal with the no-english option robot, I was redirected to a call service representative. I asked - in my very basic german - if he could please speak english of if he could direct me with someone who could. He replied: "No". I asked then for a manager, given my time-sensitive issue. He replied: "No, have a nice day" and hung up.
Seriously, Paypal? Amazing customer service. OBVIOUSLY ZERO ESCALATION PROTOCOLS AND HENCE AND EXTREMELY POOR CALL CENTER SERVICE.
