My daughter is fundraising for a school trip. Is there a way I can advertise my paypal account on her facebook page for donations. If so how much will it cost and how do I go about it?

You would need either a "verified" Premier Account or "verified" Business Account.  (A Personal Account won't work.)   As for costs, any funds you receive are subject to the standard transaction processing fees.  Fees are explained here:

As for using Facebook, unfortunately you just cannot insert PayPal's item button code direct.  You can use the text email or hyperlink version of the code and there are also 3rd party services that can work with Facebook.
