Viewing historical transactions: 2015 and earlier

I can't access transaction history before January 2016. How do I see earlier ones? If I try to select a differernt time period, the drop down calendar won't accept the date. (I am trying to check when I purchased a service two years ago, so that I can ensure that the auro-renew notice is genuine).

Go to "activity" top of your paypal page > on the right of the page under "simple / detailed" click on statements > activity export > then on the left of that page under history click on advanced > then in the drop down box under "find a transaction" you can search by email / name / date etc etc etc

Thanks, Kernowless - this looked like a foolproof answer I still don't get any details for transactions pre-2015.

Well i just checked on mine and went back to 2006 !!! stopped them and gave up but could have gone back further.
