Paypal Credit - Setting up Direct Debit

Hi,

We recently set up a PayPal Credit account, however we are having issues in setting up the direct debit repayments.  Specifically, when we try and associate a bank account with the PayPal Credit account, we get an error message which appears every time after we have entered the bank account details.  This has occurred on various internet browsers on both mobiles and desktops, and we have also tried clearing the caches/cookies etc.  First payment is due on the 9th of March so we need to get it sorted!

Is this something that anyone else has encountered, and if so, what was your solution?

Is it a UK bank?

Is it one Paypal accept ie not a virtual bank?

Yeah, it should be! Looking to set up the direct debit with a Clydesdale Bank account. It looks like some sort of website error - PayPal have referred me to a specialist after I’d chinned them on Twitter but heard nothing back 🤔

ok as that is a bank that only has branches in Scotland and none in the rest of the UK then not sure its one that they accept.

But if you have reached out to them then can you post back and update when you hear back?

There are several branches in England so I would hope that's not the issue...

I'd also note that it makes no reference to the account not being valid i.e. the error is more along the lines of 'this page is temporarily unavailable' after I've inputted my details.
