Emails not working

I have a subscription service so rely on daily emails to advise when payments are received / skipped / cancelled etc and sicne Monday 2nd October I;'ve not received any of the usual mails.
I even did a transaaction log download and had no emai lfrom that.
I've not changed any details, and have been using Paypal and receiving emails for years.
ANyone shed any light on whats happened and if there is any fix?
