Charity direct debits - are they recognised as DDs?

Hi everyone,

I want to set up a few DDs with some charities with my bank account. I have one of those bank accounts that you need two DDs for, as two different transactions. If I sent up two regular donations through paypal, will these show up as two DDs on my bank statement?

Welcome to the community forum.

The way this sort of payment would show on your bank account would depend on how you fund the payments you are making. If you have added and confirmed a bank on your PayPal account we collect the money by direct debit. On your side though this will look like a direct debit to PayPal rather than one to the charity itself and as a result there will be just one direct debit set up. You can also choose to connect your regular payment agreement with a debit or credit card. In that case it would show as a card payment to the charity via PayPal.
