Here is a question I received recently from Michael
I cancelled my subscription to netfootie back on thew 13 november 2009 now I find that paypal has taken 7.95 from my account and i would like it back please I have spent so mush time with your help centre and i dont seem to be geting anywhere so please some body help me i have had enough.

Hi Michael - there are two things I would suggest doing.
Firstly, make sure that your subscription is cancelled in your PayPal account. You can do this either on your history page or from your profile.
To cancel the subscription from your history page:
1) Go to the bottom of the page, click 'Cancel Subscription'
2) On the confirmation page, click 'Cancel Subscription' again
To cancel the subscription from your profile page:
1) Click the ‘View details’ link of the relevant subscription.
2) Click 'Cancel’ near the top of the page in the Profile information section.
You will also need to contact the merchant that you placed a subscription with as it sounds like they didn't put the cancellation through and you will need to ask them to refund your money.

Hey there, I have provided some more steps below on how to cancel a subscription.
You can manage subscriptions from your PayPal account as follows:
1. Log in to your account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click ‘History’ near the top of the page.
3. Click on the ‘More filters’ drop down menu.
4. Choose the 'Subscriptions and agreements' option, click on ‘Recurring Payments’ and finally ‘My Profiles’.
5. Change the date back to when you started the subscription and then click ‘Show’.
6. View the details of a specific ‘Subscription Creation’ by clicking in the Details column.
To cancel the subscription, click the ‘Cancel’ link at the top of the page.

Since PayPal continuiously reformats their website presentation, as many do, I just canceled an automatic subscription renewal payment by the following process...
On your "My PayPal" page there is a horizontal bar with three options:
Summary/Activity/Settings.
Select to view "Settings."
Then choose the "Settings" Tab from the menu of options.
Select "Payment Preferences" and click on "Update."
