Adding a Subscription Button with recurring payments on same date

I wonder if you can help

I am setting up a subscription service and have added a subscription button on my site. However, I want payments to be taken on the first of every month, but currently buyers are having payments taken a month after they have set up. Is there a way that payments can be set up to be taken on a date of my choice?
