eBay Payment Not Showing In My PayPal Balance

Hi,

What the title says, really. I sold a game on eBay and the guy has successfully paid, I have a transaction ID and everything. However, my PayPal balance is zero. 

I do have my bank account and debit card on file with PayPal, so could it be that it has gone straight into my bank account and this has simply not reflected in my bank's online statement yet?

If a PayPal employee wishes to see the transaction ID, I will be happy to PM them.

Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the payments should have gone in??

The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will always take from those funds (as that is now the default funding source), rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.

To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transaction and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie buyers payments rather than your normal funding source.

Yes, this seems to be the case - I had an outgoing payment on the same day as the eBay money came in. Looking at the transaction in detail showed that it was funded from both sources, and the exact amount I'm 'down' by was the amount taken from my PayPal account.
