Sent money as gift can't dispute but got scammed.

Ok so i sent the money via gift because he was worried i would charge back so i did it and now he has scammed me as i have recieved nothing off him and he said he was desperate for money and needed to scam me.... i want my money back so can anyone help me with this?

Oh dear why did you send a gift payment?

I am sorry but you can't file a dispute for a gift payment as there is no sale to dispute.

The only advice I can offer is if you funded that payment with a credit card contact your c.c. issuer and see if they can do a chargeback for you.
