Hi All,

I sold an item on ebay for total amount 167 GBP, then paypal deducted 8.88 gbp from my total amount so I received 158.12 gbp. I think the fee just supposed to be 5.88 gbp, so what are the extra 3 pounds for? Can someone please help me to understand?

Thank you,

Bence

Why not just click on FEES bottom of every paypal page and all the info is on there?

Was it an international sale?

I did. I checked the fees and found out it should be 3.4% + 0.20 GBP.

Yes, it was an international sale, so probably that is why it gets higher?

Thank you.

Yes thats why its higher as you pay a cross border fee.

Be careful sending expensive items internationally as you need to have a postage method that shows trackable proof of delivery in the event of a dispute .......in the country you are sending to.

ALSO if the buyer claims the item is misdescribed then you may have to fund return postage.

I am trying to find out what fees PayPal takes on international transactions. Emailing and phoning them has produced no information.  I don't see anything saying "Fees" at the bottom of my account summary page - can you direct me where to find this information please?

Thanks a lot.
