Paying in $

I want to pay for an online course that is in America, so is priced in $. Their site takes me to Paypal US to pay for it. How does this work for someone reg with Paypal UK and will I be charged extra over and above the exchange rate (Paying by credit card at the moment)

You pay in dollars and then before you submit to pay it tells you how much will be deducted from your funding source ie credit card in sterling (to include any currency conversion fees).
