My account is confirmed but my balance still says $0.00?

I was recently sent $10 by a friend and it's not showing up in my balance? In the email it said that accounts must be verified for the money to show up, so I clicked the hyperlink to verify my account, but it's still not showing up.

Is your paypal account set up to accept dollars on a UK paypal account?

Yes, USD is my primary currency.

OK then does the transaction show in your paypal account history?

Nope, nothing shows up. Is it possible my friend sent the money and took it back? The only notification I got to my email was that he sent the money.

Paypal are having major problems from the posts we have been getting on here with transactions not showing up etc BUT normally the funds are there so   >>>

Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the payment should have gone in??

The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will always take from those funds (as that is now the default funding source), rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.

To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transactions and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie friends payment rather than your normal funding source.
