Money not clearing

Hi, a friend sent some money across to me earlier today by instant transfer. On my transactions list it is under completed transactions, but there is nothing in my balance and I have had no email confirming the transaction. Why would the transaction show up but not alter my balance accordingly?

Ongoing technical glitch, lots of threads about it, paypal say they hope it will be resolved in 24-48 hours.

I just hope this issue clears soon. It's such a hassle.
