I put clothing for sale on eBay. All goods were brand new, unworn. One coat pictured cost me £40, with label , and has never been worn. A cardigan costing £25 from Boohoo still has tags on. Several unworn items, I was offered £1.04. I contacted buyer explaining this. eBay, on behalf of its customers should let seller know of offers made before accepting payment for goods

Not sure what you mean.
If you listed the auctions in the auction format then you should start the bidding at the least you are happy to get for the item.
So if you were happy to sell a coat for £20 then you start the bidding at £20 and not 99p.
Just looked at your auction and you listed it as an auction starting at 99p so YOU took the risk of getting more bidders than you actually did.
Why did you not start the bidding higher or place a BIN price on it of what you wanted to sell it for.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
