Is this a real paypal email?

A guy who wants to give me money for something said he'd send first. I confirmed my mobile and the email for it was service paypal.com. I know this the legit paypal email. Then he "sent" the money. But the email was member paypal.com. Is that real or not?

Thanks for posting on the Community Forum and sorry to hear about this.

The best way to know if someone has actually sent a payment to you would be by logging in and checking your PayPal account balance. If someone has sent money to you, you'll see this on your PayPal account activity.

If you still have the emails you received, you can forward them to us at spoof@paypal.co.uk so we can review them and confirm if they are legitimate.
