Instant Payment Notifications (IPN)

In the last few days I have started getting the following emails:

Dear,

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://hyper-linking.net/linklokipnret.php

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

That domain name has beed dead for at least two years and as far as I am aware no service provider is using IPN on my behalf.

Does anyone know why I have suddenly started getting these emails after so much time? Also given that I don't know why, how do I stop them?

TIA

Hi Iron_Dutchess,

Thanks for posting on the Community Forum and so sorry to hear about this.

As we don't have access to your account details from here, I would definitely suggest filing a ticket with our Merchant Technical Support for this so they can look into what's happening. You can do this by going to their site at http://www.paypal.com/mts.

If you are active on social media, I would also recommend contacting MTS via Twitter once you have filed your ticket. You can tweet your ticket number at them on @PayPal_MTS.

Thanks in advance

Sophie
