Hi there,
I've got a quick question.
Someone who I'm friends with on the gaming platform Steam has sent me just over £2000.
These payments were made in installments of 500 and 350 Euros. (Converted to GBP of course)
The purpose of the payments was for me to purchase a high-value virtual item in the game Team Fortress 2.
How well am I protected and how do I prove to PayPal (should a dispute open) that the money was a donation with no expectation of a physical/virtual item in return?
Things that have popped into my head:
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Ryan.
P.S. I've got to verify my card because of the large transactions, expected to take about a day to complete.
You have no seller protection if he files a paypal dispute or chargeback.
Thanks for the reply.
Would it be just better to return the payment?
Many thanks,
Ryan.
