I have found a fantastic villa in portugal for a family holiday. The company all stacks up but is not ATOL protected or ABTA registered but is based in the UK - as a limited company.
The suggestion made to me was to pay the deposit via PAYPAL for 'my added security'
My question is, for what I can see this gives me zero added protection as (I understand) PAYPAL covers goods and not services such as holidays.
Can you kindly confirm this is the correct interpretation.
Thank you

You are correct, personally i would be suspicious if they were encouraging me to use paypal.
I would want to pay direct via my credit card.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
