Hello. If I wish to send the equivalent of 100$ in CAD from Korea, who pays the fees? Me or the person I'm sending it to? He needs it to be in CAD. What are the actual fees for doing so?

Depends how you send it.

Fees are located at the bottom of every paypal page.

Hi cb888,

Welcome to the community.

As kernowlass has advised, there are a number of different things that influence the amount of the fee that is being charged.

For example, the standard PayPal fee ranges from 1.4% to 3.4% per transaction. It depends on if the payment is being sent as goods or services, or if the payment is sent as a personal payment.

If a payment is being sent from Korea to Canada, there would also be cross-border fees applied of 0.5% per transaction.  If currencies are being transferred, there are also currency conversion fees applied.

For more information on fees, you can find a breakdown of the fee structure here

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Jessica
