my friend sold an item and used my PayPal account for the buyer to transfer money. The money went into my PayPal account and I then transferred it into my friends account. My PayPal balance then went to zero as expected however PayPal have also withdrawn the same amount from my bank so in effect I paid twice but my friend only received one payment! Can anyone advise on this please?
This is a strange one. Are you sure the original payment you received for your friend wasn't held in a pending balance?
If I'm right, those funds wouldn't have been available to send to your friend and you may have chosen to make an additional payment funded by your bank in error here.
Can I ask if you managed to sort out what happened since your post?
