I'm trying to purchase an item online; payment is via Paypal.
Item is around £30; postage and packaging (within the same country) and then the £8 handling fee imposed by PayPal means it becomes more like £47 😞
can't see much mention of a 'handling' fee that I have to pay anywhere online. help?!

Paypal does not charge buyers a fee only sellers.
If your seller is charging you a fee = surcharge then they are only allowed to do so if you are informed of that cost before you purchase the item.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
