Added second VISA card to account. When can I start to use it on PayPal?

I have a linked bank account and visa card to my PayPal account. Today I added a second visa card and confirmed it using the 4 digit code sent to me by PayPal. It appears in my account details but I can't seem to use it yet. Can someone explain why? Thank you.

When you check out with paypal do you click on ''change'' so you can select another card to pay?

The newly added card isn't showing as a funding source so I assume that I have to wait a few days?
